Research Experience:

Ts. Dr. Sin Jin Chung obtained his PhD in 2014 from School of Chemical Engineering, Universiti Sains Malaysia. In 2013, he was a visiting researcher at Osaka University, Japan. In 2014, he was a consultant in projects that sponsored by PETRONAS Research Sdn. Bhd. for the research work focusing on the degradation of oily effluent using advanced oxidation process. Currently, he is an assistant professor in Department of Petrochemical Engineering, Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman. His research interests are environmental catalysis development, water quality monitoring, photocatalytic conversion technology and advanced oxidation process. To date, Dr. Sin has delivered 47 international ISI journals and 3 book chapters on the topics of his research and has an h-index of 20. He managed to secure FRGS, UTARRF and USM-PRGS grants to expand his research work. Dr. Sin is currently supervising 7 Masters and 2 PhD students. He has also received several publication awards from Universiti Sains Malaysia and Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman. Recently, he also won two silver medals in National Innovation and Invention Competition through Exhibition 2018 for projects related to photocatalytic wastewater treatment and antibacterial. He has also recognized as outstanding reviewer by Elsevier in years 2016 to 2018.
